House: First impression

This week I finally made time to visit our house. I stood at our gate, took a deep breath and inserted the keys in. For the past few months we could only stand outside of those gates and wonder what it feels like to step inside and all the things we can finally do when we get the keys. While I was clear that we were there to take some measurements and to finalise the house layout, I couldn’t help it but take a few moments to indulge in all its imperfection.

The uneven floors, the raw smell of a newly completed house and a very interesting view. I stood by the window and imagine that a few years down, this plot currently under construction will stand a private residential and my almost non-existent pockets of seaview will be completed blocked.

This is really happening, the house and soon to be a home 🙂
